Chocolate Chip Ice Cream
You'll stop buying store-bought after how easy this is.
As a child, my grandparents kept me a lot in the summer and I could always rely on my grandad stocking the freezer with Purity Dairies chocolate chocolate chip ice cream. I wanted to recreate that rich creamy chocolate base because I haven’t found a chocolate ice cream I liked as much as that one.
Most chocolate ice cream recipes require using the stove top for dissolving ingredients, but I was determined to make this work in a measuring cup like how I usually make my ice cream. It will dissolve with a whisk, just be careful with sloshing!
If you still need an ice cream maker, check out my favorite one that I’ve used for 10 years. I also have linked the chocolate sauce that I love the most. A local coffee shop uses it to make their mocha lattes and it cannot be beat!
Some mix ins that we enjoy: Simple Mill’s Sandwich cookies, Hu Chocolate gems chopped up (for chocolate chocolate chip!), and for a bonus: make my Faux-reo Cheesecakes , chop them and mix those in.
You can find all my favorite ice cream supplies as well as our favorite chocolate sauce here.
Be sure to let me know if you make my ice cream! My vanilla ice cream is probably my most made and loved recipe!
