Chocolate Chocolate Chip Ice Cream
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!
My grandparents always had a container of Purity Dairies chocolate chocolate chip ice cream in their freezer and it was my favorite ice cream. For some reason theirs wasn’t frozen solid which is why I love this homemade version so much.
Most chocolate ice cream recipes require using the stove top for dissolving ingredients, but I was determined to make this work in a measuring cup like how I usually make my ice cream. It will dissolve with a whisk, just be careful with sloshing!
If you still need an ice cream maker, check out my favorite one that I’ve used for 10 years. I also have linked the chocolate sauce that I love the most. A local coffee shop uses it to make their mocha lattes and it cannot be beat!
Chocolate Chocolate Chip Ice Cream
14 oz heavy whipping cream
14 oz half n half
1 tsp vanilla bean paste
1/3 cup cocoa powder
3 tbl chocolate syrup
Pinch of salt
1 cup Hu Chocolate gems or a dark chocolate bar, diced up
Place all the ingredients in a bowl or measuring cup and stir.
Pour slowly into your ice cream mixer.
Once the mixture is almost set, pour in the chocolate mix in.
For firmer texture, place in an air tight container in the freezer.
Be sure to let me know if you make my ice cream! My vanilla ice cream is probably my most made and loved recipe!
