I’m never buying store bought ice cream again.
My homemade vanilla ice cream is probably my most popular recipe. It comes together in less than five minutes and will be sure to be a crowd pleaser. You can add any of your favorite mix ins, which I’ll list some of mine below.
Growing up, we would have homemade ice cream in the summer as a special treat but it was such a pain to haul out the always corroded from salt ice cream maker. You had to get bags of ice and rock salt and it was just a PAIN. We received this ice cream maker as a wedding present over 10 years ago and it has made it so easy. You just keep the barrel frozen in your freezer for when you are ready to make ice cream. It will make a pint of ice cream and if cleaned with cold water, you can generally make two batches back to back.
